The RAIL studio is a refinished room in the Molecular Characterization and Analysis Complex (MCAC), upgraded for presentation and soundproofing. The room contains lab benches, an ion chromatograph with UV detection (the current instrumentation used for water testing experiments), and auxiliary laboratory supplies. Additionally, the studio is equipped with a computer, microphone, speakers, webcam, and video-conferencing software, as well as a mobile camera that can be remotely controlled for viewing the instrument. The two-way video capability and conferencing software allows for a stimulating and interactive experience, both with and without a scientist present in the room.
